“My artwork is inspired by my own goals of living a life that is soft, grateful, and graceful. My personal journey towards inner peace and healing is the passion behind my artwork. My designs are fueled by the idea that we don’t have to work so hard to experience peace. Instead, we can simply allow ourselves to become present to the small, beautiful moments of life that we experience daily. My design philosophy embraces movement, spirituality, functionality, and nature.”-Kari
A Delaware native, I studied art and design as a young adult at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, DE. I have studied elements of Graphic Design at Deltech Community College, as well as continuing to further hone my fine art skills by taking classes at the Rehoboth Art League in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Inspired by my years as a yoga instructor and massage therapist, and the Delaware beaches that I call home, I use my artwork as another way to bring meditative moments to the world. In 2021, I suffered a life-changing accident that resulted in an incomplete spinal cord injury, leaving me permanently disabled. I began creating texture art as a way to get back into the “flow” state, that I had previously been able to access through my physical practices of yoga and running. My artwork not only encourages moments of calm contemplation, it is a deeply healing practice for myself. I hope you find your own moments of peace, connection, and joy here.
